Aviation History, 1827

This is from The New Orleans Bee/ L’Abeille de la Nouvelle-Orléans dated Monday, December 31, 1827. Check out my other posts from the same newspaper here.

-PARIS- At a recent ascension at Trivoli, Mr. Delcourt, the arronaut, was to have been accompanied by the chief of the Osages, Waschassabe sir named the Black Spirit, from the number of enemies he has slain; but the police interfering, he was obliged to desist from his undertaking, he however made a short excursion in the air previous to the balloon's final departure with Mr. Delcourt.
